Finished the book

It is Wednesday today, yah. Never thought I would be happy for Wednesday but when you wake up thinking it is only Tuesday it makes it a lot better.

So I have finished the book finally.
The Ladies no. 1 detective agency

Not to bad of a book, really have never seen the TV series corresponding to it but might be interesting.
Overall the plot was easy to follow and the content was not too bad although there was quite a bit of backtracking in the beginning. The story picked up as it went along, although if you have ever read any detective novel you would know the ending not that far into the book, and there are virtually no pot twists.

This book gets my approval for a read and I will probably check out the next in the series.

Oh about books, depending where you live, honestly you never have to by them. Just check them out of your public library, also most libraries are on the internet and you can put books on hold etc. I think it only cost about $40.00 a year depending where you live. If you are anything like my family and check out 40 items at a time the membership pays for itself the first time you use it.

Funny thing is my sister works at indigo, ironic really since our family really never bothers to by books, although she is happy because she can borrow the best sellers to read from her work, and never has to wait to get them from the library.

So wait for this weeks sewing project because I think I will do a book cover. This is so you can read all your smutty romance novels at work and not worry about you boss looking at the cover of the book.

Any ideas how to do this? Well I better figure it out soon,

Oh and also I have tried to make some tea towels. Will post pictures of how they turned out.

Have a nuts day!!

The Weekend

What a great weekend, why? Because Saturday I decided that it would be fun to do some good old fashioned physical labor. Well did I turn out to be wrong.

Well show up at 9:00am the place we end up at is an old car dealership, interesting. Well I turns out that the previous owners of the building decided that they did not want to take any of there old parts department with them. This means thousands of shelves, dusty, heavy shelves. Well needless to say it was an experience and I made it through almost unscathed. And interesting fact all the shelves that we tor out can be sold for $5 CAD a piece. I think there was about $100,000.00 in shelves not bad when I think it will only take them another day to finish up.

Also on Sunday have a soccer game, well considering that we are 6 out off 9 in our division and we were playing the second place team we did rather well losing only 3 to 2.
Although not one was there with a camera it would have been great to see the last save that I made ( I play goal part time) I personal do not really even remember doing what some of the players say that I managed to do. I save three unbelievable shots in the last minute of the game.

I think the even more unbelievable thing was the two people to score for our team, I mean the one I am not sure weather she has more the one kick that goes in the right direction every game let alone a shot on net, not sure have are team believed it. The second for us, one of our defense took a kick from a penalty and manage to cross the ball directly in front of the net (normally luck if the ball goes within ten feet of where she aims) then our forward one times it right in. (the other team was not covering that player because the did not see her as a threat and normally rightly so)

Well I will update you on the book after tomorrow I should have it finished by then.

Have a Nuts day!

Ahh the start of it ALL

Well as of yesterday I have officially applied to get into the Alberta College of art and design. This is a little bit scary although I am sure it is the right thing. Still living at home at the age of 22 may seem weird to some people but I have mostly always enjoyed it and the funny thing is that my dad is the one that does not want me to move away to go to college.

Well if you have not noticed already I am no writer and I do not pretend to be although how can you get any better if you do no practice so I thought the best way to do that would be to write a blog that nobody will read, genius, so here a go.

Every week, or every other week I will try to enlighten the lack of readers to a few things.
  1. A Summary of the book that I am reading.
  2. A craft or sewing project.
  3. An update on my journey to get back in shape.

Al right, well that should be a lot for the average person who in not reading this blog to take in.

Today I will start with the book that I have just started reading.

BOOK OF THE WEEK
Title: The No.1 Ladies detective agency
Author: Alexander McCall Smith

So apparently it has been made into a HBO series, Never seen it, but so far so good. Although I have trouble reading accents it has been going ok although I do not understand all of the terms because I am sure that they have something to do with the cultural background of the main character.

Well mostly it is about the starting up of a one woman detective agency and in the first few chapters it tells of the history behind this one woman. She had a tough life although is seems that is does not affect her outcome so much.

The tales of her actually doing what she calls detective work are quite sort and to the point, which is interesting that I though that was more what the book was supposed to be about.

Well I will keep you updated when I finish the book.
Have a good weekend.

And do not touch that squirrels nuts it will make him crazy!
